Kiddie Academy Locations Nationwide Present "Storytime LIVE!"

A Guest Appearance by Story Characters Will Bring Story Time to Life for Children

On Saturday, July 30, Kiddie Academy locations nationwide will host Storytime LIVE! where children and their parents can enjoy a story and then meet the story's lead character. The featured story will vary by location, and during the event, children will see the story come to life with a visit from the story's main character.

"We're looking forward to welcoming our students and new friends to Storytime LIVE! at participating Kiddie Academy locations," said Claire Haas, vice president of education for Kiddie Academy, an educationally focused child care provider. "Whether your child is a student with us or not, it's a great opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their children in a classroom setting and with their peers."

The event, which is free and open to everyone, begins at 11:00 a.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture the smiles when their child meets the Storytime character. Registration is required and can be found at www.kastorytime.com.

"Reading together is an important part of preparing for school and for life," says Haas. "When the main character of the book 'jumps off' the pages and into the classroom, it helps to make reading an enjoyable and exciting experience for early readers -- and that helps to build a foundation for success in school and a lifetime love of learning."
