Summer Tips for Maintaining and Enjoying a Healthy Lifestyle

Empower yourself this summer with tips from Steven Renata, CEO of Les Mills West Coast and international master trainer. Hit the gym and follow these tips from Steve:

  • Think of your fitness routines as a form of recreation. BODYPUMP® works because it is a hard but fun workout. Highly trained instructors will keep you motivated and the music and choreography, which changes every three months, will rock your fitness routine into shape.
  • In BODYPUMP® you average 800 reps! That's more than four times what the average person can do in a gym workout and it pushes your body to shed fat while focusing on all major muscle groups by using the best weight exercises: squats, presses, lifts, and curls.
  • The unique formula of weight repetitions and fun cardio choreography creates an exciting, muscle-toning workout that is scientifically proven to build long and lean bodies, and to sculpt and shape without the bulk.

  • Performed around 800 repetitions of basic free weight exercises.
  • Burned an average of 560 calories.
  • Spent an average of 37.4 minutes for males and 40.2 minutes for females in the aerobic training zone -- over 70% of the maximum heart rate.

Always remember to:
