Agenda Announced for North America's Top Supply Chain Leadership Event
HOUSTON - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Supply Chain Council (SCC, www.supply-chain.org),
a global nonprofit management association, has announced the agenda for
the upcoming Executive
Summit North America conference. The 2011 supply chain leadership
event will take place 28-30 September in Palm Springs, CA.
"The Executive Summit brings together leading supply chain executives
from a cross section of global industries," notes Gary Kilponen,
Executive Summit chair and vice president - operations at Cameron Valves

Presenters at the 2011 SCC Executive Summit will share their success
stories and strategies for overcoming adversity and improving supply
chain performance. Topics on the agenda include how to manage rising
commodity prices, transportation constraints, shifting
global labor costs, and the impact of the Japanese earthquake and
tsunami.
Cisco to Share Insights on Japan Crisis
The devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on 10 March 2011
was the most significant challenge encountered by the extended global
supply chain systems in this century. It is projected that some major
global supply chains won't recover until the end of the year, if ever.
James B. Steele, program director value chain risk management, global
business operations, for Cisco Systems, Inc., will describe the
disaster's impact and Cisco's response. He will share the company's
current approach to building proactive resiliency into the supply chain.
