The Futura Corporation Announces Holdings of Hardwoods Distribution Inc.

The Futura Corporation ("Futura")(1) announces that it owns 2,243,040 common shares in Hardwoods Distribution Inc. (TSX: HWD) ("Hardwoods"), representing approximately 14.04% of the total outstanding common shares of Hardwoods.

The common shares in Hardwoods were acquired as a result of Hardwoods conversion to a corporation from an income fund, and are held for investment purposes. Futura may from time to time acquire additional common shares of Hardwoods, dispose of some or all of the existing or additional common shares of Hardwoods, or continue to hold the common shares of Hardwoods in the normal course of Futura's investment activities, subject to applicable securities laws.
