Consider "Speak Out for Good Jobs" the sequel to February's nationwide "Rally to Save the American Dream." The tour was first announced by Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chairmen (CPC) Keith Ellison and Raul Grijalva during a press conference in Washington, D.C. on June 14 with the same mission: helping the working and middle class get their voices be heard loud and clear all the way to Congress stand up for the ideal of America being the land of opportunity.

"The question is 'Will?'" Ellison stated in Minneapolis on June 18. "The question is 'Will we unite?' The question is 'Will we fight?' The question is 'Will we fight together?' And we need you guys to make jobs the issue."

From Detroit (June 27) to Milwaukee (June 29) to New York City (June 30) came another outlet for over frustrations of little or no employment opportunities and stalled economic growth in America. In other words, bail out the people, not just the banks, Wall Street, the rich and wealthy, and the Republicans.

"We are here because we will NOT let the middle class and those aspire to us disappear from our country. We will not! We will not!" Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Illinois) said in the Milwaukee meeting.

The "Speak Out for Good Jobs" tour resumes later this month in Miami (July 16), Pittsburgh (July 18), Philadelphia (July 19), Boston (July 20), Houston (July 21), Portland (July 22), and Seattle (July 23); more on this can be found at http://speakouttour.com and ProgressiveCongress.org's YouTube channel.

"America needs to work for the people who are working for a living" Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY). "We're gonna use our numbers in strength to counter the corporate dollars."
