Shocking Verdict! Casey Anthony Not Guilty of Murder
By Robert Paul Reyes
Caylee Marie Anthony, born August 2, 2005, disappeared in June 2008, and from the start this case of the missing toddler attracted international media attention.
Caylee`s skeletal remains were discovered December 11, 2008, six months after she was reported missing by her grandmother, Cindy Anthony.
Casey Anthony, Caylee`s mother, was indicted on charges of first-degree murder and her trial started on May 24, 2011. Millions faithfully followed the emotional roller coaster of the Casey Anthony trial. We sat glued to the boob tube, as we watched the tears flow from every member of the dysfunctional Anthony clan. The soap opera came to an end on July, 5, 2011 when the jury reached the verdict of not guilty of murder.
Throughout the trial Casey stoically sat as she listened to the testimony, conjuring tears only when photographs of her daughter were shown to the jury. Casey may have cried when the images of her dead daughter were shown during the trial, but when Caylee was alive she was too busy laughing and having a good time in bars and dives to demonstrate any kind of emotion for the poor child.
Whether we agree with the verdict or not, we must be give the jury credit and praise for putting their lives on hold for a few weeks. The jury declared that Casey is not guilty, and we must accept this verdict.
