Vallabh Youth Organization To Build 'Krishna Bhakti Dham' in Pennsylvania
Vallabh Youth Organization (VYO) is planning to build "Krishna Bhakti Dham" or the "Krishna Devotion Abode" in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Funds are being raised for the spiritual and cultural center which will focus on spiritual, cultural and linguistic needs of the community. Rangesh Shah is the President of VYO Scranton chapter.
His Holiness Pujya Goswami 108 Shri Vrajrajkumarji Mahodayshri, 24, is the founder of VYO. It is headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Its vision includes "to bring about awakening amongst youth and to establish youth spiritual centers."
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed today applauded efforts of Dham planners and Scranton area community for building the wonderful cultural center which is especially focused on youth.
Rajan Zed further said it is important to pass on Hindu spirituality, concepts and traditions to coming generations amidst so many distractions in the consumerist society.
Scranton has a BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. It was incorporated in 1856 and popularly nicknamed as "Electric City." It has been the placed by Business Week on its list of "Best Places to Raise Kids."
