Amedisys Honored with Innovator of the Year Award
BATON ROUGE, La. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Amedisys, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMED) one of America's leading home care and
hospice companies, was named Innovator of the Year for its MercuryDoc, a
web-based physician portal, during the 2011 Louisiana Governor's
Technology Awards held Wednesday, June 30.
The Innovator of the Year award is presented to an individual,
organization or company that has creatively used technology to advance
their organization, to improve client/customer services and to
positively impact their community and state. Other criteria include
taking advantage of the latest developments in technology to help grow
and expand the technology industry.
MercuryDoc is a web-based application developed for physicians to give
them access to real-time critical patient data, such as patient
demographics, medications, pharmacy information and graphed
trends/vitals. It also allows physicians to manage home care patients'
Plan of Care (485), supplemental orders, and provides information for
physician care plan oversight.
