Greenwood Management Urges Investors to Read Latest ABRAF Report
Copenhagen, Denmark, July 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In its latest newsletter, forestry investment firm Greenwood Management ApS has taken it upon itself to encourage those investing in forestry to access a copy of the latest ABRAF report.
The report, produced by ‘Associação Brasileira de Produtores de Florestas Plantadas', or the ‘Brazilian Association of Planted Forestry Producers', includes everything investors need to know about the market. Greenwood adds that some of the content may be irrelevant to investors, but almost everyone interested in the alternative investment market and in forestry specifically will find some interesting reading among the charts and graphs.
Greenwood Management stated, ‘The ABRAF report is the most complete and independent analysis on forestry investments in Brazil.' The firm operates several successful plantations in Brazil and Canada and has recently announced moves to start operations in Costa Rica. Greenwood invites investors to put as little as EUR 10,000 towards a piece of forested land. This investment is in existing plantations, but also allows Greenwood to expand its business in emerging markets.
Greenwood prides itself on keeping its investors informed as to the challenges and opportunities arising in the forestry market in Brazil and in other emerging economies. It provides quarterly reports on the progress of its sustainable plantations and also provides links to external reports such as the ABRAF report to enable investors to form an objective view on the market.
A spokesman for Greenwood Management added that the report includes: "Facts and figures on almost every aspect of forestry management ranging from law changes, employment trends, forestry production trends, environmental issues, sector outlooks and silviculture highlights."
Greenwood's open and informative approach to attracting investment reflects its commitment to ethical forestry management of a kind that has significantly contributed to Brazil's success in slowing deforestation in recent years. Brazil's government has passed several pieces of legislation, not least a law that discourages the steel industry from using charcoal sourced from native forests. As the demand for charcoal grows alongside the steel industry in general, demand for charcoal from non-native plantations is likely to rise.
