Huge Statue of Jesus Christ Unveiled in Peru
By Robert Paul Reyes
"President Alan Garcia formally opened the monument, known as Cristo del Pacifico or Christ of the Pacific, on a hill in the capital Lima." Read More
The historical Jesus was the epitome of humility, according to the Gospels he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. The real Jesus would be horrified by this colossal abomination.
This monstrosity wasn't erected to pay homage to Jesus Christ, it's a vanity project by President Alan Garcia.
This statue is a poor imitation of the famous "Christ of Corcovado" in Rio de Janeiro. It looks like a giant copy one of those plastic statues of Jesus that some Hispanic Catholics place on the dashboards of their vehicles.
Jesus if you are up there in heaven, please smite this affront to humanity with a bolt of lightning!
