Celebrity Trainer Now Offers Custom-Made Premium Vitamin Formulas
Michael Torchia, personal trainer to the stars readily admits that when it comes to nutrition, one size does not fit all. In his work as founder of the Shape Up America Campaign, which is dedicated to educating, motivating and inspiring average American people to live healthier lives, he has encountered a wide variety of people with many unique health challenges. This experience has inspired him to create a line of fully customizable, premium vitamin formulas.
Available at his new website, www.operationfitnessvitamins.com, the vitamins can be customized by one of two distinct online methods selected by the user. In the Health Survey method, people will be asked over forty questions about their lifestyle, diet and fitness regimen.
Based on their answers, a fully-customized vitamin formula will be created for them. The Vitamin Customizer will allow advanced supplement-takers to put together their own formulas completely from scratch, and choose their own ingredients, dosages, and multivitamin mixes. Every detail will be customizable - right down to the name printed on the bottle label. In addition, the website's Featured Premium Products will include several pre-formulated vitamins hand-picked by Michael Torchia to specifically address some of the most common and essential health needs faced by Americans today.
"Daily exercise is just part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle," said Torchia during a recent interview about his new website. "People also need to learn how to eat right, and that's where proper supplementation comes into play."
Torchia went on to explain that although there are some vitamins everyone should take to maintain a balanced diet, not everyone has the same metabolism and the same bodily needs. For example, whereas one person might be best off taking 500 mg of vitamin C, another might benefit from a higher dosage. In this respect, off-the-shelf vitamins are "inadequate" and "custom vitamins are really the only way to go," said Torchia. "Our bodies are different! That's why when it comes to nutrition, one size doesn't fit all."
Operation Fitness Custom Vitamins and the Shape Up America campaign are not Torchia's first excursions into the world of fitness advocacy. As an overweight child, Torchia was greatly inspired by fitness guru Jack Lalanne. Torchia was an obese child who overcame his own weight problems and has since then vowed to help others do the same. Over the years, he has won numerous bodybuilding championships, and has earned the titles of Teenage Mr. America, Collegiate Mr. USA, and Mr. California. He later went on to work as a personal trainer for some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Al Pacino, Matt Damon, Kim Cattrall, and Kevin Spacey.
Torchia plans to publicly announce the launch of his new website and custom vitamin line at the upcoming Shape Up America Health & Fitness Expo, which will be held on the rooftop of the Beverly Hilton on Saturday, June 11th, 2011 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
