Embry-Riddle to Sponsor 'Talking With Heroes' Tour

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University announced an alliance this week, with TalkingWithHeroes, the web talk and video program. TalkingWithHeroes broadcasts military personnel stories from Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait.

As part of the arrangement, Embry-Riddle agreed to sponsor Talking With Heroes on the next assignment in the Middle East. Bob Calvert, the host of Talking With Heroes, is to interview Embry-Riddle alumni serving in the U.S. military, in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan.

Calvert told NewsBlaze that while on the tour in July, updates from Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan will be posted on Embry Riddle Social networking sites and on the Talking With Heroes Program LIKE Page.

Bob Calvert and the TalkingWithHeroes talk show have been committed to supporting the troops for many years. Bob, a longtime friend of NewsBlaze, is a tenacious supporter of the troops and other organizations that work with military men, women and families.

Embry-Riddle has one of the nation's largest enrollments in Air Force, Army, and Navy ROTC programs, and many of its graduates go on to serve with the military in the Middle East and Afghanistan.

The university's Worldwide Campus educates military personnel at more than 150 locations in the United States, Europe, Asia, Canada, and the Middle East, and through online education.

"As a veteran myself, I came to Embry-Riddle ten years ago because of its proactive stance on taking care of our young veterans, so I am proud that we are supporting the Talking with Heroes tour,"
- Frank Ayers, executive VP, COO, Prescott, Arizona

"Embry-Riddle is proud to work with and support Bob Calvert in his efforts to reach out and touch the members of our great military family.

Their 'service above self' commitment is one of the fundamental strengths that make our country great," said Richard Heist, executive vice president and chief academic officer at the campus in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Embry-Riddle was introduced to Talking With Heroes by Mark Lyden, a university alumnus and lead recruiter at Boeing Co., whose book, Veterans: Do This! Get Hired!, offers proven advice to veterans who are seeking a job.
