Fourth Season of Leverage Premieres Sunday, June 26
By Garrett Godwin
Leon Rippy will fall from heaven as the new, recurring "Big Bad" for Nate Ford (Timothy Hutton) and his crew in the new season of Leverage. The veteran actor will play a Warren Buffet-type who is the anti-thesis of our latter-day Robin Hoods, for every corrupt corporation the team takes down, he makes a profit from it.
Rippy is best known for his role as Earl, the tobacco-chewing, last-minute angel of redemption for Holly Hunter's hard-drinking, hard-partying, hard-living cop for three seasons on TNT's Saving Grace, and his role as Tom Nuttall on HBO's Deadwood. The 61-year-old veteran actor is no stranger in playing the bad guy due to his multiple guest appearances on CBS' Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001).
Besides this new "Big Bad" after running their biggest con against Damien Moreau (Goran Visnjic, ER) last winter, Nate and Sophie struggle to deal with consummating their newfound relationship but the quasi-couple agree to keep quiet about what happened ... for now.
The fourth season of Leverage premieres Sunday, June 26; season three comes out on DVD Tuesday, June 7.
