Battlestar Galactica Online Joins BYGAMER

BGO, a free-to-play browser-based 3D Sci-Fi MMORPG of ships and skills, is the first game relying on a blockbuster Hollywood franchise to be fully developed with Unity technologies for the MMO audience. Apart from real 3D applications and exceptionally high-quality graphics, BGO also has a platform independent engine that saves the trouble of downloading a client. The players only need to install the Unity application in their web browser of choice, and the game will be served to them through cloud computing.

Like World of Warcraft Gold, Cubits are the in-game "gold" for BGO. You can purchase various versions of most items and ships with a combination of Cubits and Tylium (some can be bought only with Cubits or Tylium). Cubits can be used to buy items including boosters which can speed up the equipment and the learning of skills.

"BGO is a supremely gameable intellectual property, with charming ships, a series of wonderful shuttles and weapons, multiple worlds, and a gripping storyline. Players can directly choose human or robot, space combat, exploration or tasks as soon as the browser opens. As a television production, I feel that the game brings me a more real experience," said Panaster, a long-time BYGAMER fan, after he played BGO yesterday.
