"Disabled" Woman Posts Belly Dancing Pics Online, Big Mistake

"A New York City woman's alimony has gone belly-up after images that showed her belly dancing appeared online.

Dorothy McGurk, 43, was getting $850 a month because she was supposedly disabled and unable to work, but then her ex discovered a blog that showed photos of his former wife belly dancing.

Some people just don't get it, they don't seem to realize that anything they post online is accessible not only by friends and family, but by strangers, enemies and ex-husbands.

If you're collecting $850 a month in alimony because you are disabled and unable to work, it's not a good idea to post belly dancing images online. Belly dancing is a strenuous form of exercise, and anyone who can belly dance can work in an office or at a construction site.

Dorothy McGurk told the judge that she belly danced as a form of therapy to help her recover from injuries suffered from a car accident. I bet the judge had a belly laugh at that lame excuse.

Of course her husband went to court, and the judge cut her alimony payments in half. He also ordered the con artist to pay her ex-husband's legal fees and 60 percent from the sale of their house.

Dorothy may have to take up belly dancing as a profession to pay her bills.
