Born to Ride Celebrates 800th TV Episode
Created over 16 years ago by Ron Galletti, "Born to Ride" has amassed an amazing cult following. It currently airs on MYTV 38 in Tampa, Florida. The 800th episode will air at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17.
"We show bikers in a positive light and it's all about the people," Galletti says. "Bikers are blue collar folks, white collar folks, and people of all colors," Galletti adds.
Galletti has brought enjoyment to the lives of an untold number of bikers, something that he feels very proud of accomplishing for so many years.
"I'm proud to show the fine, giving things that bikers do," he says. "There are a lot of great things going on in the biker community. Our 800th episode is a milestone. It's the longest-running biker TV show in the world."
Galletti says "Born to Ride" may soon find itself in the Guinness Book of World Records.
"We've been in contact with them," he says.
Galletti co-produces the show with his wife, Debbie. He notes that viewers have literally watched his and Debbie's kids "grow up" on the show.
"We're looking forward to another 800 episodes," Galletti says.
In addition to the TV show, there's a "Born to Ride" magazine.
Video excerpts from the TV show and samples from the magazine can be found at www.borntoride.com, which also features thousands of event photos and updates on future events.
