Sen. Schuitmaker Welcomes Super Bowl XLV Champion, WMU Alum Greg Jennings to Michigan Capitol
LANSING, Mich., April 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- State Sen. Tonya Schuitmaker, R-Lawton, presented Super Bowl XLV champion and Western Michigan University alumnus Greg Jennings with a special tribute at the state Capitol on Thursday. Jennings, a Kalamazoo native, was recognized for his work with the Greg Jennings Foundation for Underprivileged Children and Families. The organization is a private, faith-based family foundation to educate and encourage underprivileged children, families, and individuals to rebuild and maintain healthy lifestyles within Michigan and Wisconsin.

ABOUT GREG JENNINGS:
Greg Jennings is a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers and founder of the Greg Jennings Foundation for Underprivileged Children and Families, established in 2008 to provide self help initiatives and programming to help the disadvantaged achieve personal, professional, and financial goals. Jennings was chosen for the NFL All-Rookie Team in 2006, and named a Pro Bowl receiver selection in 2010. He contributed two touchdowns to the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl XLV win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
