Man Who Shot TV When Bristol Palin Was On DWTS Gets Probation

"A Wisconsin man who engaged in a 15-hour standoff with police after shooting his TV during 'Dancing with the Stars' has been put on probation.

Steven Cowan, 68, who resigned from the town of Vermont Board of Supervisors in December, pleaded no contest Monday to misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and negligent handling of a weapon and a felony count of failing to comply with a police officer's orders, the Wisconsin State Journal, Madison, reported Wednesday.

Cowan was arrested after he shot at his TV due to being angered by Bristol Palin's performance on 'Dancing with the Stars.' The shooting led to a 15-hour standoff with police when he refused to exit his home." UPI

It's bad enough watching DWTS when a real star is dancing with a professional dancer. But when a young girl who doesn't know how to dance and doesn't qualify as a celeb by any measure or standard is featured, a viewer is likely to go bonkers.

When the young girl in question is wealthy and famous by virtue by being the daughter of a bimbo celeb politician it's enough to make anyone blow his TV to Kingdom Come.

Cowan doesn't deserve ridicule or criticism, he merits our sympathy and concern. I hope that Cowan receives free counseling, watching Bristol Palin strut her stuff on national TV is a traumatic experience.

If Bristol Palin gets her own reality show the cops will be very displeased, but TV repairmen will be delighted.
