Scentsy's flagship product is a scented, wickless candle heated in a decorative ceramic warmer. The company introduces a new warmer every six months to honor and raise funds for a national charity. Scentsy's "Love, Life, Hope" Charitable Cause Warmer from the company's Fall/Winter 2010 Catalog was designed to spread a message of hope to breast cancer survivors and their families.

"When we introduced the 'Love, Life, Hope' cause warmer, we had no idea it would surpass our goal of a half million dollars," said Heidi Thompson, president and co-owner of Scentsy.

From September 2010 through February 2011, Scentsy's network of more than 100,000 Independent Consultants sold thousands of the company's "Love, Life, Hope" Charitable Cause Warmer in support of NBCF. Scentsy made a contribution for each "Love, Life, Hope" warmer sold.

Scentsy CEO Orville Thompson said, "This donation represents an important step toward early detection and mammogram screening for women who might not otherwise receive these services. We hope our customers, Consultants, and communities will join us in reaching our goal of raising $1 million to help the fight against breast cancer."

The formal check presentation, titled 'beCAUSE for NBCF', will bring together Scentsy executives, employees, Scentsy Consultants and the NBCF founders for an hour-long celebration focused on honoring those affected by breast cancer and the hope this donation represents.

Janelle Hail, founder and CEO of the National Breast Cancer Foundation said, "Our mission is to save lives through early detection and education programs. Many women don't have the means or knowledge to fight breast cancer alone, so when companies like Scentsy recognize our mission with such impressive support and generosity it gives us hope and strength to continue the fight against breast cancer."
