London – April 12th 2011 - Twenga, the most comprehensive shopping search engine, today announces the appointments of Michael Keaton and Sagi Shorrer to its Senior Management Team.

Founded in 2006, Twenga now lists over 350 million e-commerce offers from 160,000 retailers across 15 countries in its catalogue. Twenga employs 150 staff in its Paris offices, as well as in subsidiaries in China and Brazil.

The arrivals of Mr Keaton and Mr Shorrer, who held senior management posts in Microsoft and Google respectively, will enable Twenga to take the next step in its international expansion, in particular through the opening of local headquarters in several countries.

“I am delighted to welcome these two remarkably experienced co-workers into our Senior Management Team. They reinforce one of our key competitive advantages: Twenga is among the few e-commerce companies created to operate internationally and to fully leverage the strengths of an internet which does not recognize borders,” said Bastien Duclaux, CEO and co-founder of Twenga.

The appointments of Sagi Shorrer and Mike Keaton, with their backgrounds in companies reputed for performance-orientated corporate culture, are further evidence of Twenga’s ability to attract talent of the highest level and of its global culture.

Sagi Shorrer, 38, Vice-President Business Development, took charge of Business Development and Monetization in January 2011. Sagi and his team are responsible for Twenga’s international development, international growth strategy, monetization products and platforms for mobile, local and social shopping. Sagi brings 13 years of strategic and operational experience to Twenga. He gained expertise within groups such as Google, having previously specialised in advertising, mobile and internet technology.

Michael Keaton, 50, Vice-President Sales, took charge of the Sales team at Twenga in March 2011. Michael is tasked with growing Twenga’s client portfolio from a base of 160,000 retailers indexed on 15 national sites. Michael brings more than 20 years of experience in the world of sales, including 12 years in online advertising and strong international expertise, gained notably in the post of EMEA Head of Microsoft Media Network and Technology Solutions. Mike has also spent 8 years in Asia with Accenture and COL, Hong Kong.
