Rihanna and Britney 'S&M' Remix - "..chains and whips excite me"
By Ian Brockwell
Rihanna has brought out a Remix of her controversial hit "S&M" (Sadomasochism), featuring Britney Spears. Many believe this version will be even hotter than the first.
The song features words like "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but chains and whips excite me" You will also hear Britney singing "Just one night full of sin, and feel the pain on your skin" along with "Shut me up, gag and bound me"
The idea of Rihanna teaming up with Britney Spears came as a result of her asking her Twitter followers which artist they would most like to see her collaborate with and it was perhaps no surprise that Britney was the person they chose.
Whilst the Remix version is expected to do very well and maybe get to number one, there are a few people (especially women) who will disapprove of the subject. I was reading an article recently (by a female reporter) that questioned why so many female artists felt the need to dress up in 'bondage' style clothing. I wasn't quite sure whether the journalist was genuinely concerned that women might be demeaning themselves in some way, or she was jealous of the attention they were receiving?
I always thought that women dressed this way to indicate the power they had over men, in which case it should be the men (not women) that need to be more concerned. Although it seems that the majority of men are comfortable with these images.
For those who are not sure what S&M (Sadomasochism) is all about, let me explain. Sadomasochism usually refers to the (sexual) pleasure in receiving pain or humiliation. A masochist likes to receive pain, and a sadist likes to give it. You may also hear the term "BDSM" which means Bondage, Discipline, Sadism and Masochism.
Whilst this may seem like an unlikely way of obtaining sexual excitement to many, it may surprise you to know that millions of people all over the world enjoy some form of "BDSM". Some couples may simply tie each other up and use blindfolds, where others may experiment much more deeply into the subject.
There is a site that specialises in helping people to find partners that share their BDSM interests and they have millions of members!
Regardless of the subject of this Remix, where is the harm in watching and listening to two sexy ladies performing? Let's forget 'political correctness' for a few minutes and enjoy a couple of artists having some fun with S&M. There are enough 'real' sadists out there (politicians, bankers etc) giving us pain that even the most dedicated masochist would find impossible to enjoy!
