INDIANAPOLIS, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Australian Gold, one of the fastest growing sun care brands, took its national launch into the public limelight in the infamous boardroom of the Trump Organization on April 10th, 2011. As the task sponsor for the sixth episode of NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice, Australian Gold and the celebrities proved to be a winning combination.

Australian Gold, recently brought its outdoor sun care range to the national market. To mark this expansion, the brand enlisted the help of business icon Donald Trump and his eponymous show, The Celebrity Apprentice. In this episode, the celebrities were charged with creating a marketing event for Australian Gold using a 10'x10' glass box.

Among the celebrity contestants participating in the challenge were LaToya Jackson, NeNe Leakes, Meatloaf , Gary Busey, Lil Jon, Jon Rich, Mark McGrath, Hope Dworacyk, Marlee Matlin, and Star Jones. LaToya Jackson and the women's team earned the winning vote from the Australian Gold executives. As a reward for winning the task, LaToya Jackson's charity, AIDS Project LA, will receive a $20,000 donation from The Celebrity Apprentice as well as a matching $20,000 donation from Australian Gold.

While the task proved important to the winning team, it was also a huge step for Australian Gold. CEO Stephen Hilbert said of the experience, "Partnering with The Celebrity Apprentice allowed us to introduce a nationwide audience to our brand in an entertaining, modern and memorable way. The show provides an unparalleled platform to engage consumers with the star power and riveting drama of a reality show while effectively educating them on business and marketing strategy."

To mark its national expansion, Australian Gold will have The Celebrity Apprentice displays in Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS and Duane Reade stores.
