Newegg Awards Grand Prize of a $25,000 Computer Lab to New York City High School

As Part of Newegg's "Nominate Your Teacher Award" Program, Award Winning Teacher Andrea Deak From H.S. 570 Satellite Academy in New York City Will Receive Recognition at a Special School Ceremony on April 8th

On Friday, April 8th, 2011, Newegg.com, the second-largest online-only retailer in the United States, will present the Grand Prize of a $25,000 school computer lab to H.S. 570 Satellite Academy in New York City. As the winner of the Newegg "Nominate Your Teacher Award" program, one of the school's teachers, Andrea Deak, will also receive a $2,500 Newegg promotional gift card for her personal use. Five other teachers earned Honorable Mentions or Public Choice Awards in the program, and each will receive a $500 Newegg gift card.

During the April 8th ribbon-cutting ceremony for her school's new computer lab, Newegg.com representatives will present Ms. Deak with a special plaque to commemorate her being honored in the "Nominate Your Teacher Award" program. Ms. Deak was selected as the standout educator from a wide selection of teachers across the U.S. and Canada. The ceremony will include dedication of the school's new computer lab, with a small gathering of select students, fellow teachers and administrators in attendance. The new lab marks a positive and meaningful step forward for H.S. 570 Satellite Academy and New York City education.
