Popular Radio Show Leaves AM 820 WWBA
Last week the Chris Markowski Show and AM 820 WWBA decided to part ways by not renegotiating the contract.
Markowski's show, a grab bag of financial talk, politics, and current events, is ending its association with WWBA. But Markowski soon plans to take to the Web and offer the show as a downloadable podcast, until the show finds a new host station. Currently they are in the works for finding a new radio home in the Tampa Bay area for the hit radio show.
"I am very proud of how the show has grown over the last year," Markowski said today. "We took a time slot with no ratings and no callers and turned it around; the phone lines were jammed packed for practically the entire show," he added.
Markowski also has a nationally-syndicated show on the Talk Radio Network, "The Watchdog on Wall Street," in which Markowski flexes his muscle in the world of finance, his area of specialty.
Emphasizing that this is not a goodbye to "The Chris Markowski Show," Markowski thanked his listeners and board operators Tim Dill-Peterson (current) and Patrick Hooper (past) for their "dedicated support" and Matt Bruce who filled in for him in his absence.
Markowski urges listeners to check out his Facebook page and his website, www.watchdogonwallstreet.com, for more information about the details of his new podcast.
