Toddler Disappears From Home, Hero Dog Keeps Him Warm and Alive

"When two year-old Tyler Jacobson went missing for 12 hours in bitterly cold temperatures - there was one best friend he could count on.
In this case, however, his faithful companion had four legs and a very waggy tail.
Police found the toddler being guarded by the family labrador after he wandered out the back door of his home in Elgin, South Carolina.

A dog is a member of the family, and it's an outrage that the pooch wasn't named in the Daily Mail article.
Tyler was wearing only a diaper when he left on his epic journey, but he had the fluffy dog to keep his warm and alive.
Tyler's dad is serving in the army, and his mom seems to be missing in action. The mom has some 'splaining to do, how could a toddler have wandered away from the home?
Thank goodness that there's a dog to watch over the toddler.
