Pepsi CEO Nooyi, Florida Governor Scott to Join Inaugural Session of Wall Street Journal's Executive Task Force for Women in the Economy

PALM BEACH, Fla., April 4, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Wall Street Journal today announced the addition of Indra Nooyi, chairman and chief executive officer of PepsiCo, and Florida Governor Rick Scott as members of Journal's Executive Task Force for Women in the Economy http://womeninecon.wsj.com)">, which begins its inaugural meeting tonight at the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach, Fla.
The Executive Task Force for Women in the Economy will bring together more than 150 leading men and women for highly interactive working sessions to develop an action plan to address key issues that affect not only women and their potential, but also companies and their ability to harness the opportunities offered by this vital segment of the workforce. Ms. Nooyi and Gov. Scott will close the conference, commenting on the action items adopted by the Task Force and their value to both business and government.
Tonight's opening night session will feature Robert Zoellick, president of World Bank Group, and Sandra Day O'Connor, U.S. Supreme Court Justice (Retired), and Wei Sun Christianson, co-CEO of China, Morgan Stanley, for a wide-ranging discussion of women's progress, providing a perspective on the history of women in the U.S. economy, a special focus on women in Asia, and a look at the role of women in economic development in the poorest countries.
