'True Grit' Actress Hailee Steinfeld in Sleeping Beauty

True Grit actress Hailee Steinfeld can possibly appear as Sleeping Beauty on screen, as she is reportedly attached to a spec project which is written by Lindsay Devlin. Devlin has written a whole new story or the classic fairy tale 'Sleeping Beauty' in which Aurora will enter in her dream world and will try to find her way out. It means instead of sleeping most of time as a cursed princess, Hailee will be seen as exploring 'a lot more' in her dreams.
The 14-year-old actress Hailee was nominated for Best Supporting Actress role at this year' Academy Awards for her role of 'Mattie Ross' in 2010 film True Grit. She is also signed for Paramount Pictures 'Forgotten' which is based on a novel by Cat Patrick. In the film she will play London Lane, a 16 -year girl whose memory gets erased every night at 4:33.
After the huge success of last year's Alice in Wonderland, several fairy tales are lined up for their film adaptation. Warner Bros. already released 'Red Riding Hood' in March this year and now Universal Pictures is working on 'Snow White and the Huntsman' with Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron to release it by the end of next year. There is one more version of the Sleeping Beauty is in development process, Disney 'Maleficent' will tell the story of fairy tale from evil witch's perspective. Maleficent' story is being written by Linda Woolverton. Also, there is 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' by Paramount Pictures with Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton and 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' by Disney with James Franco.
