One World Sports and America One Broadband Units Combine to Form OneSportsPLUS.com Broadband Sports Service
DALLAS - (BUSINESS WIRE) - One World Sports and America One broadband divisions have combined to
form OneSportsPLUS.com,
a broadband service that features more than 5,000 live and exclusive
sporting events from more than 100 U.S. colleges, 70 U.S. professional
teams, and top professional leagues in Asia and Europe.
Cable and satellite affiliates of One World Sports television can offer
OneSportsPLUS.com as a value-added service to their subscribers using
authentication techniques.
"One World Sports and America One have been delivering live and
exclusive college sports for more than five years, and international
sports for more than two years," said Preston Bornman, President of One
Media Corp, the parent company of the two groups. "Combining both sports
catalogues under a single online consumer portal provides great benefits
to our affiliates and their subscribers."
Colleges from Divisions I, II, and III, plus the National Association of
Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) will have men's and women's sports
showcased, including basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, lacrosse and
volleyball. U.S. professional sports include hockey, indoor soccer, and
indoor football. Professional Asian leagues include games from the Asian
Football Confederation and the One Asia Golf Tour.
"Interest in OneSportsPLUS.com services within the NCAA is growing
quickly," said Bruce LeVine, OneSportsPLUS.com
Director of Collegiate Programming. " NCAA fans can now watch a nearly
endless number of live games simultaneously on one multi-screen player.
Our proprietary technology is a game changer in the world of live sports
broadcasting."
Today, games are available from the Big Sky Conference, the Mid America
Intercollegiate Association (MIAA) and Atlantic Hockey Association,
among others. Recent renewals that have come as a result of the
formation of OneSportsPLUS.com include Dakota Athletic
Conference, Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Hockey League and
College Insider Basketball Tournament.
OnePlusPLUS.com
was formerly known as B2TV.com, which was acquired by One Media Corp,
Inc, the parent company of One World Sports and America One, in 2010.
The U.S. college and professional games will only be available via the
broadband service OneSportsPLUS.com.
One Media Corp's America One and One World Sports channels are part of a
"TV Everywhere" television network that makes their sports available via
television, broadband and mobile devices.
As part of the kick-off on the new site, OneSportsPLUS.com will
broadcast the Japan Earthquake Relief Soccer Match between Japan's
National Team, the Samurai Blue, and the J-League All Star team, for
