Hispanos y la Educación" (The Moment is Now: The President, Hispanics
and Education) on Monday, March 28, 2011 from Bell Multicultural High
School in the nation's capital. Hosted by Emmy-award winning journalist
and co-anchor of "Noticiero Univision," Jorge Ramos, the town hall will
give President Barack Obama the opportunity to engage with students,
parents and teachers in an important dialogue on education and Hispanic
educational attainment. The historic event will be broadcast on the
Univision Network on March 28 at 7pm ET / PT, 6 pm CT. It will also be
streamed online on www.EsElMomento.com

Topics to be discussed at the town hall with President Obama will
include better preparing students for college and 21st
century careers, greater parental engagement in education, and the
politics of reforming the educational system.
In the lead up to the town hall, students, parents and teachers will
have the opportunity to submit an education-related question for
President Obama. Questions can be submitted to Univision until Sunday,
March 27, 2011 through our online form. To access the form and for more
details and guidelines, please visit: www.EsElMomento.com.
The audience members will primarily be selected in collaboration with

leaders. Other educational programs and organizations will also be
represented.
The education town hall with President Obama is part of Univision's "Es
el Momento" (The Moment is Now) initiative focused on creating a college
bound culture by engaging parents and youth, and connecting the Hispanic
community with the resources and information needed to help increase
educational attainment. Univision recently launched the second phase of
this initiative highlighting the importance of children having role
models in their lives, encouraging parents to teach by example and
instill in their children the importance of education, as the key to
their success.
The broadcast will be closed-captioned in English on CC3 where
available. The event will also be available on demand in English and
Spanish online on www.EsElMomento.com,
