Alec Baldwin Gives Charlie Sheen Sound Advice
By Robert Paul Reyes
"In a new Huffington Post editorial titled 'Two and a Half Men is Better Than None,' Baldwin takes a paternal tone, issuing a barrage of tough-love advice for Sheen.
'You can't win,' Baldwin writes, addressing Sheen. 'Really. You can't. When executives at studios and networks move up to the highest ranks, they are given a book....'How to Handle Actors.' And one principle held dear in that book is that no actor is greater than the show itself when the show is a hit.'
He urges, 'You know what you should do? Take a nap. Get a shower. Call Chuck. Go on Letterman and make an apology. Write a huge check to the B'Nai Brith. And then beg for your job back.'" Read More
Fans may be enamored of celebs like Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan and Angelina Jolie, but in the eyes of the studio executives they are nothing but product. As Alfred Hitchock famously observed: Actors are cattle.
Charlie Sheen may be a warlock and he may have Tiger Blood, but he was destined to lose his epic battle with the networks suits.
Leaving aside the anti-Semitic remark about writing a huge check to B'Nai Brith, Baldwin's advice is spot on.
A hype who is tweaking needs sleep more than anything else. Charlie needs to clean house and kick his enablers and goddesses/whores to the curb, so he can get some sleep.
I doubt if the troubled actor has taken a bath or a shower in the last couple of weeks. Personal hygiene is not a high priority for a lunatic or a drug addict. The warlock would be well-advised to follow Baldwin's advice and take a nice long shower.
Sheen should yuck it up with Letterman, and made a public apology to network executives, and his loyal fans who still love him to death.
If Sheen doesn't follow Baldwin's advice his future looks very bleak, he will do one idiotic reality show after another.
