Pairings Set for 2011 Tavistock Cup

ORLANDO, Fla., March 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tavistock Cup finalized its pairings for the World Golf and Country Club Championship that will be contested at Isleworth Golf & Country Club March 14 and 15. The eighth annual Tavistock Cup will feature 24 of the top touring professional members of Albany, Isleworth, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club and Queenwood Golf Club.

The two-day tournament will introduce a new playing format this year. Round 1 will be better ball stroke play. Each team will count three 18-hole better ball scores. The team with the lowest cumulative score will be leading after Round 1.

Round 2 will feature individual stroke play. In each group, each player will play their own ball. Each team will count six 18-hole individual scores. The team with the lowest score in relation to par at the end of both rounds will be crowned World Golf and Country Club Champion.

Arjun Atwal will play for Team Albany in Tim Clark's place. An injury has prevented Clark from playing on the PGA Tour over the last few weeks. Atwal, a member of Albany, is no stranger to the Tavistock Cup, having played previously as a member of Isleworth.
