Andersen Jones Lands New Breast Cancer Clients
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Andersen Jones Marketing Medicine, a West Coast leader in medical device
and diagnostics advertising, has been selected to create new branding
and marketing communications for two emerging companies in the breast
cancer space.
The agency was recently selected by Agendia in Irvine to launch their
Symphony Breast Cancer Decision System. Symphony is a unique molecular
diagnostics tool available to breast surgeons and medical oncologists.
The system helps physicians address complex treatment decisions by
screening the patient's genetic profile against all the known genes that
affect breast cancer. The result quantifies the potential for breast
cancer recurrence in that patient, providing the physician with critical
information for determining the best course of treatment for the patient.
San Diego-based ImpediMed is the world leader in the development and
distribution of medical devices utilizing bioimpedance spectroscopy for
use as an aid in noninvasive clinical assessment of lymphedema.
ImpediMed recently hired Andersen Jones to develop expanded branding
strategies for their L-Dex system. In a recent Washington Post story,
lymphedema was called "breast cancer's dirty little secret." Women who
undergo mastectomy or axilliary node dissection are at risk for
developing the condition which presents as a severe swelling of the limb
where lymph nodes have been removed. The L-Dex system is a simple,
noninvasive test that women can have every 90 days in a follow-up visit
with their breast surgeon.
