Evgeny Konov Named Head of HARMAN's new Russia Operations

STAMFORD, Conn. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - HARMAN, the global premium audio and infotainment group (NYSE:HAR), announced today that Evgeny Konov has joined the Company as Country Manager of Russia operations. He will be based in Moscow and report directly to HARMAN's Chairman, President and CEO, Dinesh C. Paliwal.

"This appointment marks the next step in our emerging market strategy and will help propel Harman's penetration in Russia," said Dinesh C. Paliwal, HARMAN Chairman, President and CEO. As Country Manager, Evgeny will be responsible for refining HARMAN's business plan for Russia by working across the consumer, professional and automotive divisions and engaging with our distributors to capture increased market opportunities.

Mr. Konov is a graduate of the Tashkent State University and has over fifteen years of experience in sales and marketing organizations in global companies operating in Russia. In his most recent position, Evgeny was the Regional Sales Director for Phillips Russia previously serving in progressive roles with Colgate-Palmolive and Gillette.
