Golf Academy of America (GAA) Graduate Named 2010 Canadian PGA Teacher of the Year

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Feb. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Representatives with Golf Academy of America (GAA) have announced that 1993 Orlando campus alumnus Jason Helman has been named Canadian PGA Teacher of the Year. Helman is currently serving as the director of instruction at Wyndance Golf Club in Uxbridge, Ontario. He was named Ontario PGA Teacher of the Year last October. The Canadian Professional Golf Association (CPGA) is a non-profit association comprised of approximately 3,700 golf professionals across the country with a mandate to promote and advance the game of golf.

"My goal last year was to win one of these two awards," said Helman. "On March 6, 2010, I posted those golf career goals on my Facebook page as a constant reminder to strive to be the best. My goal has been achieved and while I am very gratified, I am also very honored and humbled to receive such an honor."
