Libya Demands Freedom from Tyranny
This past weekend Ilana Freedman predicted that Muammar Qaddafi's reign would "fall within a matter of days." That prediction is starting to take shape.
Libya has been under the dictatorship rule of Qaddafi for almost 40 years. Amid the uprising and protests in Tunisia and Egypt, both victorious, now Libya wants freedom from the tyrannous rule of Qaddafi.
Qaddafi today announced he will not step down, and would rather be a martyr. The protests have extended too far for the Libyan people to back down now. It's become a give me freedom or give me death situation.
Why has the Obama Administration been reluctant to take sides with the turmoil in the Middle East?
Should the U.S. take a military stance to support the people of Libya looking for political freedom?
Should Libya's freedom be a top concern for the U.S. right now, and if so why?
If President Obama continues to stay passive in the Middle East matters, how could this hurt America in the long run?
What could the world see if the Libyan people fail to dethrone Kadhafi?
With Egypt, Libya, and other major countries revolting in the Middle East, what are we seeing? Is this a new liberated Middle East?
