By Royal Appointment: Azzurri Awarded a Royal Warrant for Communication Services

21st February 2011: Her Majesty The Queen has awarded a Royal Warrant to Azzurri Communications for the provision of Communication Services.

The Warrant took effect from 1st January 2011 and is granted for a five year period. The appointment is a result of Azzurri having been a direct supplier of mobile telephony and associated connectivity to the Royal Household since 2003.

Royal Warrants are a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to certain members of the Royal Family for a number of years. Three members of the Royal Family currently grant warrants: The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and The Prince of Wales - and while they are advised by the Lord Chamberlain, the final decision to grant a Royal Warrant is made by the member of the Royal Family concerned.
