Cintas First Aid & Safety Division Strengthens American Heart Association Partnership with Fundraising Commitment
CINCINNATI - (BUSINESS WIRE) - In recognition of American
Heart Month, Cintas
Corporation (NASDAQ:CTAS) today announced it has committed to
fundraising for the American Heart Association (AHA), as part of its
First Aid & Safety Division's efforts to raise awareness about heart
health. As the largest provider of CPR, AED and first aid training
created by the AHA, Cintas is implementing company-wide initiatives to
raise funds surrounding various AHA events, including Go
Red for Women, Start!
and AHA
nation-wide heart walks.
"An average of 2,300 Americans die of cardiovascular disease each day -
one death every 38 seconds," added Nancy Wolff, Executive Director
Dallas Division, American Heart Association. "We're thrilled to receive
the support of companies like Cintas that not only provide first aid
training and products for emergency situations but encourage heart
health in their own backyards. If more companies promote healthy work
environments, the future of heart disease can look very different."
Cintas recently celebrated National Go Red for Women Day by promoting
heart health awareness and engaging our 30,000 partners to wear red on
Friday, February 4th. In addition to fundraising, Cintas
promotes a healthy work environment to align with the AHA Start!
program, a groundbreaking national campaign calling on all Americans and
their employers to create a culture of physical activity and health
through walking.
"Cintas has great respect for the work AHA does and we're proud to
broaden our partnership with them to help educate the country about the
importance of being proactive about heart health - from preventative
care to emergency training." said Scott Garula, President and COO, First
Aid & Safety, Cintas. "Our commitment to amplifying the dialogue about
heart disease is one all Cintas employees approach with great
enthusiasm, evident by our efforts to promote better health first in our
own work environment."
Each Cintas location will participate in local AHA Heart Walks, the
organization's premiere fundraising event for heart disease. For
