With the success of our Spring/Fall Concert Series at Wiregrass, we anticipate that this will be a well attended event with (4) four stages of live music to include: two at Center Court, one in AJA, and one in the Brass Tap. This charity event has (22) twenty-two local bands signed up to participate.
Cash & Prizes are equal to over $8,000, and include for the 1st Place Winner: A full day studio recording session with the production of a demo CD at Morrisound Recording; the winning band is posted on the 102.5 "THE BONE" radio website, and gets 20 sixty second promotion spots; a two night stay at the Postcard Inn for the winning band - plus 50% of the voting proceeds. (Votes are $1.00 each - with the other half going all to LLS).
2nd Place is a prize package valued at $500, and 3rd Place is a prize package valued at $250. In addition, there will be a Judges Choice Award for each stage.
Celebrity judges include; EA Sports MMA and Pro Wrestling Announcer, Shannon Rose; Grammy Award winner, Jim Chambers; Tampa Tribune Pop Music Critic, Curtis Ross; Pop Art Diva, Jules Burt. Co-owner of Bigel Music, Larry Bigel; Music Teacher, Rod Dalton; TV Host and Maxim Model Carol Grow and TV Host, Elli Moriatis.
Greg Lenners, General Manager for The Shops at Wiregrass, is a candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Man of the Year program and is raising funds on behalf of the organization.
In support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man of the Year program, The Shops At Wiregrass is committed to raising funds for LLS in their campaign against blood cancer between January 27th and April 9th, 2011.
We will have three fundraising events planned (Battle of the Bands FEB 19th / Parade Celebration on MAR 12th / and a Golf Tournament on APR 1st).
