Save the Children CEO to Be Honored at Star-Studded Humanitarian Event in LA

Celebrity Guests to Include Miley Cyrus, Hillary Duff, America Ferrera, Rebecca Romijn and Joely Fisher

Save the Children will participate in the inaugural "Global Action Forum and Awards Gala."

The event, hosted by Kara DioGuardi (Phoenix House), brings together celebrity activists and philanthropists from the worlds of entertainment, sports and business to discuss how to engage in world issues.

Save the Children Artist Ambassador, Joely Fisher, will present Save the Children's CEO, Charles MacCormack, with an award for spearheading the global Save the Children movement and helping hundreds of thousands of children in need around the world.

Save the Children Artist Ambassador and Emmy Award-winning actor, America Ferrera, will be honored for her work in global education and will lead a panel on ensuring education for girls with Save the Children education specialist Heather Simpson.

Save the Children Artist Ambassador and Actor Rebecca Romijn will join Charles MacCormack, and Save the Children's Newborn and Child Survival Campaign Chief, Mary Beth Powers, on a panel about newborn and child survival.

Other celebrities participating at the event include Miley Cyrus, Hillary Duff, Maria Bellow, Martin Sheen, and Trevor Donovan.

Red carpet arrivals on Friday, February 18 5:45 pm, with the press call at 5 pm., at the Beverly Hilton Hotel- 9876 Wilshire Boulevard Beverly Hills, CA 90210
