EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Pan American Bank (Los Angeles) (www.PanAmericanBank.us)

"Supervisor Molina has been one of East Los Angeles' strongest
supporters. Much of the work that has been accomplished in East Los
Angeles has been due to her effort and support of unincorporated East
Los Angeles," said Pan American Bank CEO and East Los Angeles Rotarian
Jesse Torres. "With a new California governor and with the economy
continuing to struggle, though showing signs of improvement, East Los
Angeles' stakeholders are eager to learn of the state of the County of
Los Angeles and the East Los Angeles community."
Molina's tenure as county supervisor has produced dramatic results both
because she has insisted county services be streamlined for maximum
effectiveness and because she has brought to fruition major capital
endeavors that improve Los Angeles County residents' quality-of-life.
Named as one of the Democratic Party's "10 Rising Stars" by TIME
magazine in 1996, Molina served as one of four vice chairs of the
Democratic National Committee (DNC) from 1996 through 2004. During the
2000 Presidential Election, Molina was one of 15 top women leaders
nationwide to be named as a possible vice-presidential candidate by the
White House Project - a non-profit, non-partisan group dedicated to
raising awareness of women's leadership in American politics.
