The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games will forever be remembered as a defining moment in Canadian history. The athletes' strength and determination united Canada from east to west inspiring everyone to cheer as one nation with a single voice. The Bay is selling pieces of the Official Vancouver 2010 Olympic Podiums in celebration of the one-year anniversary of the 2010 Games. A portion of the proceeds from the iconic keepsakes will go towards the Canadian Olympic Team.

The premium package will include an authentic hologrammed piece of a Vancouver 2010 podium along with a registration card. The registration card will allow customers to register their-piece online and learn more about their one-of-a-kind podium piece. This is the first time, in the history of the Olympic Games, that the podium will be shared with proud supporters of the Olympic Games.

"The Canadian Olympic Team had 26 unforgettable podium finishes in Vancouver" Says Dennis Kim, Executive Director of Brand Marketing from the COC. "The Piece of the Podium program is a unique and creative way for our fans to share in those historic moments while supporting the Team through their purchase."

Each podium during the 2010 Winter Games was uniquely shaped and crafted from indigenous wood derived from communities throughout British Columbia. The pieces being sold will come from select podiums; which have been meticulously dismantled. The wood pieces will then be preserved in individual shaped stone and placed in a premium memory box for customers. A total of fifteen thousand souvenirs will be sold on www.thebay.com, and The Bay Downtown in Toronto and Vancouver, retailing for $39.00.
