A Hotspot in Miami's Emerging Arts Distrct, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar
MIAMI - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Considered one of the coolest and most visually striking new restaurants
in the nation, Goldman Properties' Jessica
Goldman Srebnick and her partner and father, visionary C.E.O. Tony
Goldman, opened Wynwood
Kitchen & Bar, in Miami's emerging arts district, November
2010 - and it became an instant hotspot with features in The
New York Times and Miami
Modern Luxury magazine. Showcasing original artwork by some of the
greatest artists from the urban street art scene and innovative
brasserie style cuisine created by master chef Marco
Ferraro, also at the helm of their award-winning South Beach
restaurant, Wish, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar offers an artistic dining and
cocktail experience perfect for cultural and culinary adventurers. A new
Friday night Happy Hour offering live music, discounted drinks and
drafts, 6-10 p.m., enhances the mix.
The 200-seat indoor outdoor restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, has
cooked up a unique recipe. On the menu: inviting, straight forward food
that incorporates delicious farm-to-table classics and tempting
international specialties in a variety of sizes and prices. The vision:
a neighborhood restaurant with original murals by acclaimed graffiti
artists Shepard Fairey and Christian Awe and an 11 foot sculptural man
by artist David Benjamin Sherry, that offers great cuisine for all
tastes set in a one-of-a-kind art park called Wynwood
Walls that reflects this provocative emerging arts district. This is
the 2nd phase of Goldman Properties' vision for Wynwood,
which began its transformation when Joey's, a critically acclaimed
authentic Italian cafe, opened next door in December 2008.
Highlighting Chef Ferraro's take on contemporary American cuisine with
an innovative spin, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar options range from tasty small
plates, sausages, skewers, salads, juicy burgers and sandwiches ($7 -
$14) to soul satisfying entrees, including innovative stews served in
clay pots ($14 - $29) and tempting desserts such as the award-winning
banana pudding with crushed vanilla wafers and merengue.
The restaurant's bar, surrounded by a visually stunning and powerful
original floor to ceiling mural by Shepard Fairey, of Obama poster fame,
serves as a focal point for diners, offering guests a relaxed artful
space where they can cool off with great classic and creative cocktails,
amazing wines and handcrafted beers. Adding to the playfulness of the
liquid offerings; a list of 12 original mixed drinks inspired by and
named after artists that collaborated on the Wynwood Walls and
Wynwood Kitchen.
Swathed in a colorful graffiti mural by acclaimed Brazilian twin
artists, Os Gemeos, Dear Raindrop and Kenny Scharf, on the exterior
walls, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar offers a hip, yet comfortable setting,
where guests can enjoy great food and drinks, while they loose
themselves in the best of contemporary art. A laid back, expansive
warehouse environment, with high ceilings, and decor orchestrated by the
Goldmans and Miami-based James Samson Interiors, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar
encompasses 5,000 sq. ft. Adjacent to the restaurant's bar, the al
fresco dining area is part of Goldman Properties' acclaimed art park,
"Wynwood Walls," which features dozens of murals created December 2009 -
December 2010, by some of the most innovative street artists in the
world.
Open for lunch and dinner, Monday - Saturday, Wynwood
Kitchen & Bar is located at 2550 N.W. 2nd
Avenue in Miami's Wynwood arts district. Ample street parking and
valet available. Phone: 305-722-8959. www.wynwoodkitchenandbar.com.
