UC Irvine Extension Launches Certificate Program in Internet Marketing

"Taught by leading industry experts, this online program offers flexibly to accommodate the busy business professional," says Melanie Mitchell, assistant director of business, management, and legal programs at UC Irvine Extension. "The curriculum will allow business professionals on the fast-track to capitalize on Internet marketing opportunities to learn the methods for search engine and website optimization, predicting online visitor and buyer behavior, and determining return on investment of Internet marketing programs."

Participants will gain understanding of viral media, covering display advertising, e-mail, mobile, and online video marketing; and demonstrate how a consistent message, combined with effective storytelling, can engage audiences across multiple media channels. The program is designed for marketing professionals seeking career advancement and any individuals interested in improving website performance, developing an online presence and gaining key web analytics skills.

UC Irvine Extension's Internet Marketing Certificate Program includes six required courses and electives, totaling a minimum of five units, each with a grade of "C" or better, for a minimum of 160 hours of instruction.
