NASA Study of Toyota Acceleration Deserves Taxpayer Golden Fleece Award Says Safety Attorney Todd Tracy

DALLAS, Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dallas vehicle safety attorney Todd Tracy says the government wasted $1.5 million tax dollars on a faulty NASA study of Toyota's sudden acceleration defects. "This is a space agency that failed to discover the simple flaws of rubber gasket O rings and foam heat shields in two deadly Space Shuttle crashes. Toyota owners should not believe NASA's finding for one minute that electronic flaws are not the cause of dangerous high-speed, unintended acceleration incidents in Toyota vehicles."

Dallas Attorney Todd Tracy represents the victims of a Toyota sudden unintended acceleration accident that will become the first case of its kind in the nation to go to trial in June. Tracy says it doesn't take a NASA engineer to know that consumers regularly experience glitches with electronic products whether it's the home television set or computer. "We all know that these devices commonly return to normal operations after being shut down or re-booted. Those glitches, just like the Toyota electronics glitch, can't be replicated but are very real nonetheless."

Tracy says the NASA findings completely disregard the overwhelming number of reports concerning the Japanese automaker. "NASA engineering has been responsible for shoddy designs that have delayed and jeopardized the space program for the better part of two decades. They are the last people that we want poking around under the hood of Toyota's vehicles looking for answers to a deadly problem," said Tracy. The Dallas vehicle safety attorney says that the truth about Toyota's SUA issue is far from over.

The Tracy Firm Attorneys at Law will continue to investigate the cause of accidents because many vehicle manufacturers fail to properly protect people in frontal, side, rear and rollover accidents. The Tracy Firm provides the public with safety information at www.vehiclesafetyfirm.com.
