From Plastic Pollution to Patented Baby Accessories: Moms Launch an Eco-Friendly Baby Start-Up.

MEDFORD, Ore., Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Earth Monkeys LLC, a Southern Oregon web-based start-up, plans to make a big impact on the environment and moms across the globe. While gearing up to get their bibs, pacifier holders and changing pads to market, the founders and stay at home moms, started a mommy blog called Earth Monkey Moms as a way to reach out and connect to other moms and to let them know they're not alone in their journeys.

Earth Monkeys' baby accessories are not only eco-friendly, but are also patent pending because of their unique design. Each item folds up into an attached small, lightweight bag that can easily be hooked to a diaper bag, purse or keychain. The accessories are also made from 100% recycled plastic bottles (RPET) and make a great substitute for disposable "on-the-go" products. Additionally, every piece comes with a recycled aluminum carabiner, making them even more convenient and easy to use.

Founders, Lindsay McPhail and Gena Hansen, are excited to officially launch their line, because they are passionate about providing an affordable way for all moms to make a positive impact on the environment. Their products range in price from $8.99 - $10.99 and are available to purchase on their website www.earthmonkeys.com now.

Co-Founder, Gena Hansen explains, "Sometimes it's hard to be environmentally conscious. It can be expensive to buy all eco-friendly products for your family, but we think every little bit counts! Our mission is to make it possible for any parent to make eco-friendly decisions for their household without breaking the bank or piling more work on an already hectic schedule!"

About Earth Monkeys:

In spring of 2010, Lindsay and Gena were rounding up their 5 crazy children trying to leave the farmer's market. The kids were sticky messes and as they were trying to load them into their cars Lindsay shouted across to parking lot to Gena, "We need a bib that's small enough to fit onto a keychain so it's always handy!" Nine months later the two had designed and manufactured their patented "bib-in-a-bag", "paci-pack", and "porta-pad" all made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
