RESCHEDULED MEDIA ALERT & PHOTO OPP: VIBE Magazine Teams Up With TV Personality La La Vazquez and Fiver Children's Foundation for "Power Lunch with La La" Twitter Contest
NEW YORK - (BUSINESS WIRE) - VIBE
Magazine and La La Vazquez, actress, TV personality, MTV Host and
wife of NBA star Carmelo Anthony have joined forces for a February 10th
"Power Lunch with La La," a Twitter based empowerment contest for NYC
based residents to raise awareness of local charity Fiver
Children's Foundation.
The lunch will start at 2:30pm at Fiver Children Foundations
offices, 519 Eight Avenue (at W. 36th street), 24th Floor NYC
10018. Press are invited for photo opps with La La Vazquez from
1:30pm - 2:30pm.
The "Power Lunch with La La" Twitter contest invited participants ages
18 - 30 to answer the question "What Makes You Powerful?" by tweeting a
two minute video. VIBE Magazine and La La reviewed each video and
selected ten tri-state area winners to join her in NYC for a Power Lunch.
"Power Lunch with La La is a way to connect with my fans, to know what
motivates them and keeps them going," said Vazquez. "No matter what
obstacles are placed in your way, you should never give up on achieving
your goals."
An avid Twitter user with over 530,000 followers, La La recently starred
in and executive produced VH1's highly rated show, "La La's Full Court
Wedding". This show followed La La as she prepared for her wedding to
Carmelo Anthony. La La can soon be seen in "The Gun" alongside Val
Kilmer and 50 Cent.
