Tech Data Creates New Business Groups to Enhance Vendor and Reseller Support
CLEARWATER, Fla. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ:TECD), a leading distributor of IT
products, today announced it has created two new business divisions to
capitalize on demand for HP and networking solutions while enhancing
support for its channel partners in these areas. Both groups begin
operations immediately.

Tech Data's HP Solutions Division
The creation of the HP Solutions Division establishes a streamlined,
dedicated management team to coordinate all of the company's sales,
marketing, technical and supply chain management operations supporting
the entire HP solutions portfolio. HP is Tech Data's largest vendor
partner and represents 28 percent of net global sales.

two established leaders and enables better alignment of resources and
operations in support of HP's product strategies and channel partner

The HP Solutions Division will support all HP products available through
Tech Data. Specialized resources will make it easier for new HP
resellers to leverage the entire HP solutions portfolio. Additionally,
enhanced processes and tools will make deploying HP solutions easier and
more efficient for HP resellers delivering solutions.
Tech Data veteran John O'Shea will lead the new division as vice
president, HP Solutions. O'Shea joined Tech Data in 1996, and he most
recently was vice president, Networking Product Marketing.
Tech Data's Networking Solutions Group

networking vendors and VARs to leverage Tech Data's high-value,
solutions-oriented sales, marketing and technical support methodology,"

capitalize on more opportunities created by the convergence of data
center and networking technologies."

The Networking Solutions Group will be part of Tech Data's Advanced
Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) Division, one of the company's fastest
growing product divisions. AIS also includes the Cisco Solutions Group,
the IBM Solutions Group, the Software Solutions Group and the Storage
Solutions Group. AIS is led by Vice President and General Manager,
Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Chuck Bartlett, who joined Tech Data
in 2006.
Each group within AIS, including the new Networking Solutions Group,
includes sales, technical, marketing and business development
specialists. These experts hold numerous certifications across five
strategic technology pillars of networking infrastructure, servers,
storage, virtualization and management software. Each team assists
resellers in finding, developing and closing business. In addition, they
help select and configure the hardware, software and services resellers
need to deploy the data center and networking solutions that best meet
their customers' needs.
