Senior Advocate Exposes Fraud to the World
He created a new blog filled with great tips and advice to help seniors and consumers avoid being the victim of fraud.
You can read Claridge's blog by visiting certifiedsenior.com or directly at http://certifiedsenior.blogspot.com
Cladridge's blog is now being seen by millions of people worldwide, which is also interactive. He encourages anyone with a fraud experience or tips to e mail him so he can spread the word. Every entry is absolutely confidential your name will never be published.
Fraud can be avoided. The best means to avoid falling victim is through education -knowing what scams are prevalent and how they target their victims- and of course being vigilant.
"Stop, Look, Listen, Question and make sure you Understand offers" says Claridge, and adds "you can't let people talk you into anything you are uncomfortable about, even if it seems like "the greatest thing since sliced bread". Use your brain and your "gut"; it's in your best interest."
Claridge's blog is absolutely free, created as a proactive means to derail fraudsters and protect the senior community.
Claridge encourages seniors and consumers everywhere to frequent his blog as he posts important information about scams, how to avoid them, and how to help you recover from fraud if you fall victim.
In addition to his blog, businesses who wish to take a proactive stance against fraud and scams toward the elderly, should sign up for the certifiedsenior.com Merchant Seal of Approval.
Businesses and Services who qualify to display the certifiedsenior.com (Certified Senior Guidance Association) Merchant Seal of Approval agree to abide by a strict code of ethics that addresses the concerns discussed above. Seniors should look for the CGSA seal on the business's website or promotional flyers and know that business has the senior's best interest in mind.
"Our focus is to make sure seniors are treated fairly" Claridge adds, "I'd like to see this Merchant Seal on every website to welcome seniors and certify to treat them fairly and ethically."
Being the victim of fraud can be embarrassing but you must remember, even some of the brightest people fall victim to fraud. The best way to help stop it, is to report the incident and educate those around you.
