Hale Simonds of SPAWAR Discusses Military Antenna Programs with IDGA
NEW YORK - (BUSINESS WIRE) - With growing emphasis on joint operations and interoperability, the
Department of Defense is continually exploring ways to foster
interdisciplinary communications and integration. This year, IDGA's
Military Antennas Summit will shed light on the development of military
RF systems according to the specific needs of military installations on
the West Coast.
In an effort to address the latest in military antenna technology, Hale
Simonds, Head of Antennas & RF Technology branch at SPAWAR Systems
Center and IDGA's Military Antennas Summit keynote speaker, met with
IDGA's Senior Editor Nick Yonker to discuss the latest in naval antenna
programs at SPAWAR and how some of these technologies will make
communication easier, more timely, and more reliable between assets and
commanders. Mr. Simonds also discusses what he sees as the biggest
challenge facing development of new military antennas and what solutions
may be available to overcome these challenges.
