SAN FRANCISCO - (BUSINESS WIRE) - JoyentCloud, the leading global provider of cloud computing solutions, and New Relic, the leading software-as-a-service provider of application performance management solutions, today announced the availability of New Relic RPM Bronze as a free service to JoyentCloud customers.

JoyentCloud's hosting platform provides high performance infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service solutions for gaming, entertainment and media, e-commerce and mobile applications. Organizations developing and deploying services across multiple languages on JoyentCloud SmartMachines can now use New Relic's on-demand application performance management solution to monitor and troubleshoot their business-critical PHP, Ruby, Java and .NET web applications. New Relic RPM enables developers to see inside their running applications while in production, at the transaction level, to identify and mitigate potential issues before they lead to scalability or performance problems.

"Providing our customers with greater visibility and control of their web applications is fundamental to successful and scalable growth," said Steve Tuck, general manager of the JoyentCloud business at Joyent. "In just the gaming vertical alone, JoyentCloud serves more than 30 million users across thousands of online games. Our deep understanding of scalable architectures, coupled with application optimization tools like New Relic RPM, are why games on Joyent can quickly ramp to millions of monthly-active-users with no costly downtime."

"As more and more organizations deploy their business-critical apps in the cloud, industry leaders like JoyentCloud are increasingly enhancing their own robust offerings with tools that can better ensure their customers' success," said Bill Lapcevic, New Relic's vice president of business development. "By providing New Relic RPM Bronze as a free service, JoyentCloud is making it easier for their customers to deploy applications that meet business objectives while achieving very high standards for performance and availability."

JoyentCloud customers can take advantage of New Relic RPM Bronze right away by visiting http://www.newrelic.com/joyent.html to select free RPM Bronze or a paid RPM subscription at preferential prices. After the two-minute signup and implementation process, customers have immediate access to a rich set of performance data for their production web applications.
